Strauss Capital was founded in 2006 by Tom Strauss, an investment banker with more than thirty years of experience at Lehman Brothers, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and Rosetta Partners. The firm was built on a simple premise: owners selling or recapitalizing a company deserve the same senior judgment on their side of the table that the buyers across from them already have.

We stay deliberately small. Every engagement is handled personally by a Managing Director — the person you meet at the first conversation is the person who runs the process through closing. We are industry-agnostic by conviction: senior transaction judgment travels, and our completed work ranges from software and restaurants to automotive suppliers, military connectors, and forests.

The firm is headquartered at 745 Fifth Avenue in New York, with cross-border affiliates in London, Frankfurt and Paris.
